Rosamond

I’m really feeling the washed out, creepy eyed, bathroom arty-ness of this right now.
(Christine) Rosamond was the most published artist in the world in 1976! Can you even imagine?

Peechee Keen

It’s not even September, and I’m having my annual peechee fixation. They claim to be an ‘all season portfolio’ and I’m tempted to believe it.

The golden rod! The burnt sienna! The tennis player! The conversion tables!

Everybody’s hustlin’ just to have a little scene…(!)

Suddenly, I’m into Donovan again. Yes, suddenly.
More specifically, ‘Sunshine Superman.’
40 years later, this song is still IT.

Les Clodettes

A little math:
France’s own completly gay and completely smarmy musical heartthrob Claude Francois (aka ‘Clo-Clo’) + back up dancers = Les Clodettes!!

ps. Rumor has it that our very own Clo-Clo’s untimely death was the result of a sextoy in the bathtub related electrocution!
This story was suppressed, and the unlikely, ‘changing a lightbulb in the [...]

egyptian inspired deco

Technically, this period is called the third neo-egyptian style ( of the second neo-egyptian revival) and lasted from 1922-1930. But to me, it’s all adventure and gold and curses and glamour.
I’m particularly wanting some sort of gold vulture/scarab/Tut inspired bobbles. To go with the peach crepe dropwaisted dress I don’t have.

Ric Rac

Where on earth did ric rac go? Probably not anywhere.

Lucky lucky

Normally this sort of thing is not my cup of tea. But I can’t help but to love this band. i think what we’re hearing here, is the future. Particularly, their album ‘Nortenas.’

ultra bleu

As a youngster, my mother dressed me as a ballerina for halloween. I was hoping for the classic pink on pink on pink leotard set. What I ended up with was blue. Sort of a superman blue. But it was perfect. And ever since, I have hunted for a pair of tights in that very [...]

Sundae

At this very moment, I want icecream all over me.
More specifically, anything with a sundae or float motif. This moment was originally inspired by an old avon perfume bottle (scent: pretty peach!).

there’s something so incredibly touching about a date at the malt shoppe. where is my icecream sundae print sweater!? jewelery!?
